Where the fuck is Marvin?

August 14th, 2010

People have been asking when the next podcast is coming out. Well the truth is I don’t know when. Maybe I’ll throw together a short Audio podcast this weekend. Truth is, I’ve run out of ideas. Or at least ideas that would be easy to pull off for the podcast.

I’ve done some scripted video projects lately that have been fun but time consuming.

Work has also been a drain since I got promoted too. Nothing like being middle management to suck the creative drive outta ya. But these are all excuses and that’s not what the people want. They want entertainment. The Show Must Go On!

It will one day. Hell I have this domain for another 2 years :) And really, I think I will keep it beyond that. It is my forum after all.

Stay tuned, more to come.

Until then, check out this guy burping on XTube. Nice Belly :)

Did we really need this?

August 3rd, 2010

Really? A set of Mr. Potato Heads that looks like the band KISS? Was that truly necessary?

Things Bear411 Has Taught Me #3

Saying things in another language does not help. “Quiero ver su verga dura,” is still not a good conversational opening gambit.

“I’m sorry to hear your cat died. Can I see your cock?” is not a good way to shift the topic.

At least, how to handle one according to Miss Manners and surprisingly, the answer is not, “with both hands.”

Hi, I’m Jeff and I’ll be your blogger today

May 24th, 2010

Hello from the Puget Sound area! My name is Jeff and Marvin has graciously allowed me to be a guest blogger here at Ursus @ Large.

To give you some background, I am a Grade-A, 100% confirmed GEEK. While I may not be a fan of all things sci-fi on TV and movies, I have enjoyed a lot of it. I also still read comic books and manga, and read crime fiction. Funny how I don’t read sci-fi, just watch it. Weird.

I’m also an actor in regional theater and voice over work (when I can get it). However, I did not get the gene that makes me follow Broadway. I can only really tell you about shows I’ve been in.

What I’ll be doing here is posting about things from my skewed, weird perspective. I promise I won’t go too totally overboard on the weirdness.

I’ll be back.

From the desk of Marvin….

February 28th, 2010

Hi All,

February is all but over and it’s been a busy month. I got the first podcast of the year out and then promptly jumped into production on another side project for the no-budget production team I belong to called Mind Spiral. Now that that is done I think I will take a weekend or 2 off before I start work on the next podcast. For now I wanted to share the video I just got finished producing with Mind Spiral and give you a link to the new YouTube Channel created for the group.

Stay tuned because there will be more to come from U@L and Mind Spiral.

Marvin

U@L #28: The Reboot

February 14th, 2010

It’s 2010 and it’s a new year for U@L. Consider this first podcast an intro of things to come in the new decade. 2009 was a slow year for the show and that is going to change. I’m keeping the good things about U@L, but in 2010 there will be more of it.

So enjoy and as always, write me at the email address given in the video. (I don’t put it in the posts anymore because the spammers always grab it.) You can also follow the show or leave comments on Twitter: http://twitter.com/ursusatlarge
And check back here at the website for more content and updates on what’s happening with U@L.

Peace,
Marvin

Hi everyone out there in podcast Land.

2009 turned out to be a slow year for Ursus @ Large. I can’t really say why other than I really just didn’t know what to do shows on and not be totally boring. So for 2010 I am going to try a few new things and see where we can go with it. Part of that is doing more blogging on the site. That way if you come to the site you can be kept up to date with what is going on between shows.
Also, I will bring a few more people on-board for the team. This will take some of the burden off of me for coming up with website content (Whew!) and and a different view point to Ursus @ Large.
So thanks for sticking with me and stay tuned because change in in the air.

Peace,
Marvin
